But HutcH and I were completely set on it. Anytime we thought about another name ... it didn't fit. For us it stands for a strong, confident, competent female ... the main character of a great science fiction series by David Weber.
My mom also has an unusual name ... Sharmon; also named after a strong female character in a book. So, in a sense, Honor is named in honor of my mom.
Elizabeth is HutcH's mom's middle name ... and the name she goes by. The classic name was chosen for Honor's middle name.
May our daughter, Honor Elizabeth, have the compassion and strength of her grandmothers.
